Image & Content Notice
This notice explains how images and other content appear on YouFundMe. It is provided for transparency and does not replace our Terms of Service or Privacy Notice. Final wording is subject to review by our legal counsel.
Illustrative and stock imagery
Some images on YouFundMe, including on marketing pages, category pages, and editorial content, are illustrative. They are used to convey the type of cause being described and may not depict a specific campaign, organizer, beneficiary, event, or location. Unless an image is uploaded to a specific campaign by its organizer, it should be treated as illustrative only.
Where we use stock or licensed photography, it is licensed from the rights holder for the use shown. People appearing in stock imagery are models, and their appearance does not imply any endorsement of, association with, or participation in any campaign or cause.
Campaign images and organizer responsibility
Images and text on a campaign page are uploaded and controlled by the campaign's organizer, not by YouFundMe. Organizers are solely responsible for the content they submit, and they confirm to us that they own it or have the rights and permissions needed to use it, including any consent required from people who appear in a photo.
YouFundMe does not create, verify, or endorse organizer-supplied imagery, and the presence of an image on a campaign is not a representation by us about its accuracy or context. If you believe an image infringes your rights or was used without consent, contact us and we will review it.
Model and personal-image consent
Do not upload a photograph of an identifiable person, especially a child or a patient, unless you have that person's consent (or the consent of their parent or guardian) to share it publicly for fundraising. Sensitive images, such as medical images, must only be shared where you have the right to do so.
Trademarks and third-party marks
Logos, brand names, and trademarks that appear in campaign content belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners or by YouFundMe.
Reporting a concern
To report an image or other content that is misleading, infringing, or shared without consent, use the report option on the campaign or contact our trust team. We investigate every report and remove content that violates our terms.
